Oilpressure and volume should be checked at each respective oil PSI zone & to prevent damage by isolating needed repair condition. If in doubt which sensor is bad or a track, get a meter and tone out to identify in WD and induce an advisory to see what does what. Mar 4, 2018 #3.

Thereare the two pressure switches as a failure alert to the ECM, though. These can be monitored in IDE00497. 0 is both switches open, 1 is reduced oil pressure switch closed/active (F378, .7 bar), 2 is oil pressure switch closed/active (F22, 2.55 bar), 3 is 1+2. You should only see 0 if engine off, 1 or 3 if engine on. Oilpressure is not something I would want to disable considering it's red and annoying for a reason. Turnsout the location is different for the S5 compared to the RS4-RS5. For the S5 the oil pressure switch is located at the front of the engine. You have to remove the radiator to get to it. For anyone interested here's a screenshot below. I'll keep the forum posted to see if this will have fixed the issue. Thanks.
